CorelDraw X7: Text, Layout and Photos!

CorelDraw X7

Yes, CorelDraw has been around for many years. It is probably easiest to compare it to Adobe’s slightly better know Photoshop and Illustrator programs. At one time Corel’s PhotoPaint could give Photoshop a run for it’s money, particularly at a much lower price point. So fast forward to today when CorelDraw is in it’s 17th iteration. If you do any layout and design work where you need to work with vector tools and typefaces (Like posters, flyers, signs, and illustrations etc.) then you might download the 30 day free trial and see what Corel has to offer. I find it fast, relatively easy to learn, powerful and intuitive to use.

One of the strongest features of CorelDraw! is it’s ability to manipulate text. This is one of the big shortcomings in Photoshop Elements, and even Photoshop CC is a bit clunky in it’s type handling.

Windows only.
